
Skyrockets Sign Two Rookies

Minot, ND - October 12, 2007 - The Minot Skyrockets are excited to announce the signing of two rookie players, pending league approval. Brad Brickens and Courtney Bohannon have agreed to terms with the Skyrockets and will be joining the team for training camp in Minot.
Brickens, a 6'5 guard from Texas A&M - Commerce, was the Skyrockets' second round pick in the 2007 CBA Rookie Draft. Born in Austin, Brickens attended Bowie High School and began his college career at Texas State - San Marcos (NCAA). In 2004-05, he averaged 9.2 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists. In 2006, he joined the Bobcats and averaged 8.0 points and 2.6 rebounds for A&M.
Bohannon is a 6'8 forward from Tennessee State University. The Skyrockets selected him in the 3rd round of the draft. He started all four season at Tennessee State and started all 32 games in his senior year. He had a career high 15 points in two different games and a career high 14 points in two different games. In high school, he led his team to 4 district titles and was twice named to the All-State team. This summer he also played with the Titanes de Queretaro in Mexico.
"Rookies come in to compete against other rookies and against veteran players. We expect a lot out of our rookies this year. They have to understand their role and be ready to go at a moment's notice," said Head Coach Chris Daleo.
