Albany Patroons News Release
Albany, NY (October 12, 2007) - The Albany Patroons will show their support at the Light the Night Walk being held at dusk this evening at the Crossings Park in Colonie. Light The Night is an annual Society event to raise funds for cures. It's the nation's night to pay tribute and bring hope to thousands of patients and their families. Light the Night is Society's nationwide evening walk. The Light the Night walkers carry illuminated ballons to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer. Funds raised by the walk are used to support the Society's missions: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
"It's an honor for our organization to participate in such a worthy cause that touches so many lives," stated Patroons Vice President and General Manager, Dave Bestle. Dave Bestle, Patroons Head Coach Vincent Askew, and the Emeralds Dance Team will be at the Crossings Park this evening to pay tribute and help bring hope to patients and their families.
