Skyforce Take Over First Place In Central

BISMARCK, N.D. February 25, 2008: Sioux Falls Skyforce had six players finish in double figures in a win over the Dakota Wizards 117 - 108 tonight at the Bismarck Civic Center.

Led by forward Kasib Powell with 26 points and nine rebounds the Skyforce vaulted past the Wizards for the fourth straight time in two weeks to take a 5-2 led in the head to head race.

"We are playing well right now", said Skyforce head coach Nate Tibbetts. "Our guys have really started to play well together and they trust each other, our guys are playing team ball".

Sioux Falls, now 20-16 had three players finish with 18 points, forward Michael Joiner, guard David Bailey and forward Carl Elliot. Starting center Chris Alexander grabbed his third straight double double in the win finishing with 11 points and 10 boards.

The Wizards fall to 19-16 on the season and were lead in scoring by guard Blake Ahearn with 23 points. Two other Dakota starters finished with 18 points, forward Carlos Powell and guard Dontell Jefferson, Powell dished out seven assists while Jefferson neared a double double with nine assists. Forward Rod Benson nailed a double double with 16 points and 17 rebounds in the loss.
