Sioux Falls Skyforce News Release
For the second straight year, the Sioux Falls Skyforce hosted a youth basketball camp at the Sanford Pentagon. This season, Kasib Powell and his staff welcomed over 180 campers to two sessions of instruction.
"It's always exciting to invest in the kids of Sioux Falls," Powell said of the camp. "To be able to share our knowledge and smiles with them for a day is what it's all about. It's always a fun day on the calendar to be able to connect."
Just like players on the Skyforce roster, the majority of the coaching staff spends their offseason away from Sioux Falls. Powell had four members of his staff help instruct the camp.
For have staff back at the Pentagon for the camp means a lot to the organization, according to President Mike Heineman.
"Hosting a youth basketball camp over the summer months is something we try to do any chance we can. Our staff and coaches enjoyed being able to invest more time in to the youth here in Sioux Falls."
