Skyforce Loses to Toros Despite Big Night from Goudelock

Sioux Falls, S.D. - The Austin Toros defeated the Sioux Falls Skyforce 111-102 Saturday night. Andrew Goudelock scored an NBA Development League season-high 35 points but it was not enough as Austin made all the plays down the stretch to earn a weekend split.

Sioux Falls (6-2) jumped out to a 13-point lead (19-6) midway through the first quarter and led 35-25 after one. Goudelock had a monster first quarter with 18 points behind 7-of-7 field goals. Austin (5-3) stormed back to take a brief lead (49-48) with under four minutes to go in the second quarter but trailed 59-53 at halftime.

Austin trailed 82-80 after three quarters but went on a 14-3 spurt to start the final stanza and never looked back.

Tyler Wilkerson posted a double-double for the second straight night with 26 points and 14 rebounds. Aubrey Coleman also posted a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds while Patrick Sullivan and Tre Kelley added 19 and 17 points, respectively, off the bench.

Goudelock recorded 35 points on 14-of-25 field goals (6-of-10 3-pointers) to go along with seven assists. Jarvis Varnado had a solid all-around game with 18 points, 12 rebounds and six blocks while fellow big man Hassan Whiteside added 15 points off the bench.

Austin returns home to face Texas Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. CT. Sioux Falls visits Texas Friday at 7 p.m. CT.
