Sioux Falls Skyforce News Release

Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Skyforce (30-16, 192.0, 4.17) visits the Idaho Stampede (24-23, 170.5, 3.63) tonight at 8:10 pm CST at Qwest Arena.

'Force Facts:

Game #47 / Road Game #23 / CBA Game #189

‘Force on a Roll

The ‘Force is currently riding a CBA season-high 11-game winning streak and has also won five straight games on the road after struggling away from Sioux Falls earlier in the season. The longest winning streak in franchise history is 13 games which occurred during the 1996-97 season when the team finished the regular season 47-9 (.839) under the guidance of Mo McHone. That team started the season with 13 straight wins before losing in the 14th game of the season.

In Good Company

Corey Williams is one of only two players playing professional basketball in the United States that is currently averaging double-digits in points (14.4) and assists (10.1). The only other player is reigning NBA MVP Steve Nash who is averaging 19.4 points and 10.8 assists per game. Williams has three triple-doubles this season which tied the franchise record set by Cedric Hunter during the 1993-94 season. Of all the professional leagues in the U.S., only Jason Kidd (5) and Lebron James (4) have more triple-doubles.

Magic Numbers

The ‘Force is currently in first place in the Western Conference and also the number one seed overall. With the regular season winding down, there are some "Magic Numbers" which represent a combination of the number of quarter-points the ‘Force must win or that the other team must lose in order to clinch the Western Conference title and number one seed overall. If the ‘Force wins 4.5 quarter-points in the next two games that will clinch the Western Conference title. If the ‘Force wins 1.5 quarter-points that will guarantee two home games in the first round as they will clinch one of the top three seeds. If the ‘Force wins 6.5 quarter-points, they will clinch the top seed overall.
