Three-Game Series

For the second time this season the Skyforce will play the same opponent in three straight games. Earlier this season the ‘Force went 2-1 in three straight games against the Yakama Sun Kings. Tonight's game is the second of three straight against the Dakota Wizards.

Wizards Reeling

With two championships in four seasons in the CBA the Dakota Wizards franchise has known nothing but success on the court. However, the Wizards are currently two games under .500 (7-9) and riding a franchise record six-game losing streak heading into tonight's contest with the ‘Force. They have never been three games under .500 as they started out last season 0-2 before setting a franchise record with 12 straight victories.

Streak Ends

The hottest team in the CBA finally cooled off last night as the Idaho Stampede erased a 19-point deficit to come back and defeat the Yakama Sun Kings 120-111 (6, 1) to end the Sun Kings eight-game winning streak. The Sun Kings last loss came at the hands of the Sioux Falls Skyforce as the ‘Force defeated the Sun Kings 122-102 (7, 0) in Yakima. After the embarrassing home loss Sun Kings head coach Paul Woolpert vowed to make changes and brought in former Sun Kings players Rosell Ellis and Anthony Goldwire. It resulted in eight-straight wins before last night's setback. Yakama also signed second round NBA Draft pick Ronny Turiaf who debuted last night with nine points and five rebounds. Turiaf recently had major heart surgery which jeopardized his playing career, however he has been cleared to play and is using the CBA to showcase his skills to the NBA.
