Sioux Falls Skyforce News Release

'Force Facts:
Game #8 / Home Game #4 / CBA Game #35
CBA-to-NBA Call-ups
There have been two CBA-to-NBA call-ups this season, but the odd thing is that neither player has played a single minute in the CBA this season. The first player called-up this season was former Skyforce guard Darrick Martin, as he was summoned to the Toronto Raptors on November 16th. Martin was in training camp with the Michigan Mayhem at the time. The second player called up, Josh Davis, was in Idaho this past Friday morning preparing for the game with the Skyforce later that night. However, around noon the Milwaukee Bucks called him up and he re-signed with the same team who released him just a week earlier.
All-Time Series
The Patroons hold a slight edge in the all-time series with the âForce, as they are 5-3. The last time these two franchises met was on March 2, 1993, as the Capital Region Pontiacs won 114-102 (6, 1) at Knickerbocker Arena. Not to be confusing, but the Albany Patroons changed their name to the Capital Region Pontiacs prior to the 1992-93 season. For record keeping purposes all of the stats from that season are included in the Patroons history from 1982-93, 2005-present.
Player Movement
The Skyforce recently signed center Mike Mackell (6-9, 250) to a CBA contract. The San Diego State alum has had two successful seasons in the USBL. In 2004 he played for the St. Louis Skyhawks and in 19 games (14 starts) he averaged 20.9 ppg along with 8.0 rpg. This past season he played for the Oklahoma Storm and he averaged 17.3 ppg and 8.3 rpg in 29 games (28 starts). To make room for Mackell on the roster the âForce released forward Eric Sandrin earlier this week.
