The teams last met during the 1992-93 season when the Patroons were know as the Capital Region Pontiacs for one season before shutting down the organization. The Patroons are an expansion team this season and they looked like one tonight. The Patroons dropped to 2-7 as they look to change they fortunes in a rematch tomorrow night.

The ‘Force jumped out to a quick 12-point lead (22-10) halfway through the opening quarter, but the Patroons battled back and only lost the first quarter 30-25. Stephen Graham had nine points in the opening quarter to lead the ‘Force. The two teams traded baskets much of the second quarter as the Patroons trailed by only three at halftime, 56-53. The Patroons won the second quarter 28-26 as Ronald (T.J.) Thompson had 12 points in the opening half. The ‘Force would push the lead to double digits (70-60) early in the third quarter and would maintain that lead throughout the third as they led 88-77 going into the final quarter, winning the third quarter 32-24 behind 14 of a game-high 33 points from Brandon Hunter. The Patroons would cut it to single digits (88-79) with a quick bucket to begin the fourth quarter, however, that would be as close as they would get as they would try by as many as 18 points on their way to dropping the fourth quarter 30-27.
