Skyforce announces intrasquad scrimmage

Sioux Falls, S.D. (November 9, 2006) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that Tea Area High School will host an intrasquad scrimmage on Tuesday, November 14 at 7:00 p.m. The cost for the scrimmage will be $3 for adults and $2 for children, with all proceeds going towards the new high school athletic complex/football field. Tea Area High School is located at 500 W. Brian Street in Tea, S.D.
"Our relationship with the Skyforce over the past year and a half has been a very positive one," said Tea Area District Superintendent/Athletic Director Dean Jones. "The organization, coaches and players are good people and have been very easy to work with."
Fans are encouraged to come and see the second overall pick in the NBA Development League Draft, Andre Brown, former NBA player and South Dakota native Jared Reiner, and the rest of the team in action as they battle for a spot on the 10-man opening day roster. T-shirts and other prizes will be given away throughout the evening.
"The school is excited to host this public scrimmage for the great fans of the Skyforce," added Jones. "The funds generated from this event will be used to help with the costs for a new football field for our community and our Tea Area Titans"
The Sioux Falls Skyforce season opener is on Friday, November 24 against the Dakota Wizards at the Sioux Falls Arena. The first 500 kids will receive a free Skyforce Jersey courtesy of MetaBank.
