Sugar Land scored four times in the fourth and fifth innings en route to a 10-3 win over the York Revolution on Tuesday evening at Sovereign Bank Stadium. The Revs remain 5.5 games back in the Freedom Division, while their Wild Card lead shrinks to 5.0 games. York will look to bounce back at home on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m.

The Revs struck first for a pair of first inning runs, as Brandon Haveman crossed the plate on a passed ball and Andres Perez ripped an RBI single to center, spotting the Revs a 2-0 lead.

Sugar Land took the lead in the fourth, using six hits to string together their first of back-to-back four-run innings. Carlos Sosa, Aaron Bates, and Matt Hagen all came up with consecutive RBI singles, and Ofilio Castro later added a fourth RBI single in the bat-around inning.

The Skeeters struck again for four more runs in the fifth, receiving an RBI single from Josh Pressley and a three-run homer to left-center from Bates, who drove in four total runs on the night.

York got one run back in the bottom of the fifth on an RBI single by Michael Hernandez, but failed to score the rest of the night.

Sugar Land tacked on two more in the eighth on a double to left by Steve Moss, becoming the first team since July 27 to score double figures in a game against the Revs.

Revs starter Ryan Feierabend (7-4) suffered the loss, charged with eight runs in 4.2 innings. It was the first time he allowed more than three earned runs in a start with York since May 30.

Sugar Land's Scott Kazmir (2-6) earned the win, as the former Major League All-Star struck out a season-high eight batters and walked only one in 5.2 innings. Of his three runs allowed, only two were earned.

York's Derrick Gordon (3-3, 3.99) will face Michael Nix (4-9, 5.36) on the mound on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. The night includes a YMCA game-worn throwback jersey silent auction. Tickets are available at YorkRevolution.com, (717) 801-HITS, and in-person at the Apple Chevrolet Ticket Office.
