
Skeeters Sweep Double-Header

Sugar Land Space Cowboys News Release
On Friday, the Skeeters swept a double-header in the first meeting of the season against the Camden Riversharks, winning Game 1 by a final of 4-1 and Game 2 by a score of 15-1. The story again was pitching in the early morning contest, as starter Sean Gallagher allowed just three hits and a run in seven innings of work. The bullpen was perfect, as Gary Majewski setup Jason Bergmann to close it out, as the two combined for six up and six down in the final two innings in the victory.
Game two of the double-header was all Sugar Land scoring 2 in the first, 3 in the second, 7 in the third and 3 more in the ninth. The seventh inning was highlighted by a Koby Clemens grand slam and a three-run homerun by the newest member of the Skeeters, Kevin Rios. They received another homerun in ninth, another three-run homerun this time Dominic Ramos in the night cap.
Up Next: In Game three of this four game set on Saturday the Skeeters send out RHP Gilbert De La Vara (0-0, 1.22 ERA) vs. RHP Josh Walter (1-3, 4.50 ERA) goes for the Riversharks.
