Bartlett, Tenn - Students at Craigmont Middle School in Bartlett had a special treat when Memphis Xplorers players Terrance Quattlebaum and Lewis Powell stopped by Jacqueline Wiseman's 6th grade class on Tuesday.

Dressed in their football uniforms, Quattlebaum and Powell were bombarded with questions about the sport, themselves and the team.

In return, Quattlebaum and Powell asked the students some questions. One question they asked the students was where they wanted to attend college. The answers ranged from University of Memphis to Duke, and one student's desire to join the Army. Both Quattlebaum and Powell explained that without finishing high school and going to college, football would not have been possible for them.

"You cannot be a good athlete without being a good student," Lewis said. "You want people to see that you have a good work ethic, on and off the field."

The players also explained that football was not all fun and games.

"You have to memorize the playbook, know the moves, and know the opposing team, and then some mornings you do not want to get out of the bed, because it hurts. But we do it because we love the game," Quattlebaum said.

Powell added that the team is made up of different players with different skills and talents.

"We have players that are big, some that are small, some that have experience in one area, while the others will be good at something else," said Powell. "Together we all make up the team and we complement each other."

Student Kevin Smith thought the visitors were "very nice".

"They seemed so experienced in football and told us stuff we did not know," Smith said. "I think they are the two best players and one day I want to play football. The players taught me that I have to have heart and work hard to play football."
