(Jackson, TN) May 25th- The West Tenn Diamond Jaxx scored six runs in the third inning as they went on to defeat the Chattanooga Lookouts 6-3 before a crowd of 1450 at Pringles Park. This was the second straight night the Diamond Jaxx scored at least five runs in the third inning. The win pulls the Diamond Jaxx to within three games of Tennessee and Huntsville in the Northern Division.

With the game scoreless, Rene Rivera and Luis Valbuena hit back-to-back singles off losing pitcher James Avery (5-4) to begin the third inning. Sebastien Boucher bunted them to second and third with one out. Chris Minaker then drove in Rivera with a single to right making it 1-0. Prentice Redman stepped to the plate and delivered a three run homer over the left field wall to give the Diamond Jaxx a 4-0 lead. Marshall Hubbard singled but was forced out at second on the Matt Tuiasosopo fielder's choice. With a runner at second and two out, Charlton Jimerson singled to center putting runners at first and third. Jimerson stole second and went to third on a throwing error by Lookouts catcher Ryan Hanigan. The error scored Tuiasosopo, giving the Diamond Jaxx a 5-0 lead. Jeff Frazier capped off the six run third inning with a single that scored Jimerson.

That was more than enough for winning pitcher Robert Rohrbaugh (4-4) as the lefty allowed two runs on three hits over 6 1/3 innings of work. He struckout a season high eight batters on the night. Kam Mickolio pitched a scoreless ninth inning to nail down his first save of the season.

Game four of the five game series takes place on Saturday night at 7:05 CDT. Right-hander Joe Woerman (2-1 3.30) gets the start for the Diamond Jaxx. Chattanooga will counter with right-hander Carlos Fisher (1-1 1.50).
