DAVENPORT, Iowa — There are now 13 weeks in the books for the Arena Football League's 18th season and this past weekend six former Quad City Steamwheelers made their marks in the league's statistical books.

With three rushes for 24 yards, all three going for touchdowns, two receptions for 21 yards and three tackles on defense, Las Vegas Gladiators fullback/linebacker Frank Carter helped guide his team to a 60-38 victory over the Indiana Firebirds. Carter received some help from his former and current teammate, wide receiver/defensive back Dennison Robinson. Robinson hauled in three passes for 38 yards and had 2.5 tackles and a pass breakup on defense on the afternoon.

Austin Wrangles defensive specialist Brent Browner had 4.5 tackles and a fumble recovery in the Wranglers 40-27 victory over the Grand Rapids Rampage.

Former Steamwheelers offensive specialist and current New Orleans VooDoo wide receiver/linebacker Ira Gooch caught two passes for 45 yards, including a touchdown, and returned a kickoff 11 yards. The VooDoo fell to the San Jose Sabercats 68-34.

Helping the New York Dragons to a 44-20 win over the Dallas Desperados was offensive lineman/defensive lineman Tim McGill, who had two tackles in the win.

Arizona Rattlers fullback/linebacker Frank Trentadue returned to action this weekend against the Los Angeles Avengers and added a rush in the 42-38 Rattler victory.

Be sure to catch all 14 former ‘Wheelers who are currently in the AFL every Sunday on the AFL on NBC. Next weekend's contest will feature the Los Angeles Avengers and Tampa Bay Storm at 2 p.m., seen locally on KWQC-TV6.

The current Steamwheelers, who are looking to make their way to the AFL, are now back on the winning track after last weekend's 47-26 victory over the Green Bay Blizzard. They will hit the road this weekend to defend their rights to the "Ruler of the River" trophy, when they take on the Peoria Pirates. Can't make it to the game? You're in luck, as the game will be broadcast live on Mediacom in most of Iowa and western Illinois. Check your local listings for the Mediacom channel in your area.
