Six Former Flash Players Square Off Against Each Other

Orlando, Fla, July 6, 2009- Six former Flash players were going against each other Monday night as the Boston Celtics summer league team defeated the Utah Jazz summer league team 87-56 at the RDV Sportsplex in Orlando, Florida as part of the 2009 Pepsi Pro Summer League.

J.R. Giddens, Bill Walker, and Gabe Pruitt all started for the Flash's former affiliate, the Boston Celtics. Walker knocked down a team high 14 points (5-of-9) in the win, while Giddens added 10 points (4-of-10) and Pruitt chipped in 11 points (3-of-6).

The Utah Jazz brought Kevin Kruger and Andre Ingram off the bench in the losing effort. Kruger and Ingram were both held scoreless in their time played. Jazz second-year player Kosta Koufos, who spent time with the Flash last season, is on the Jazz summer roster, but did not play in the game Monday night.

The Jazz summer squad will return to action this afternoon at 3 p.m. MDT against the New Jersey Nets/Philadelphia 76ers combined summer squad. Fans can watch the game live on-line through www.utahjazz.com. Boston's summer league team will square off against Orlando today at 1 p.m. MDT.
