Hartford, June 17, 2003 -- Sonar, the Hartford Wolf Pack's lovable mascot, will once again be making numerous new friends this week. In addition to a school visit in Waterbury, he will be appearing at Six Flags New England's third annual KidFest.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, June 18th, will find Sonar at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School, 645 Congress St., Waterbury (203-755-6809), meeting and greeting students starting at 10:30 AM.
The KidFest is scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday, June 21st and 22nd. The Wolf Pack and Nationwide Insurance will be presenting the Children's Safety Program. That will involve Nationwide distributing fingerprint and DNA children safety kits, valuable I.D. kits that parents and their children can take home, complete and keep on hand. Sonar will be on hand for the program from 11 AM - 2 PM both Saturday and Sunday.
KidFest features the opportunity to meet kids' favorite Nickelodeon stars, take the plunge with the Sponge Bob Square Pants Photo Splash, explore the outback with the Wild Thornberries Photo Safari, and get "slimed" at the Nickelodeon Game Lab. Plus, the park will be in full operation, with all of the rides and water parks open. Six Flags New England is located in Agawam, Massachusetts, on Rt. 159.
The Wolf Pack are currently accepting deposits on season seats for the 2003-04 season. To order, or for more information on all Wolf Pack ticketing options, contact the Wolf Pack ticket office at (860) 548-2000. And for Wolf Pack sponsorship/advertising opportunities, contact Sales at 860-246-7825.
