Time is running out to retain your seat for next season! Season ticket deposits to retain your seat from 2002-03 are due to the Lock Monsters by July 1st. All season ticket accounts paid in full by July 1st will be entered to win a Carolina Hurricanes weekend, including airfare, hotel accommodations and game tickets for two. $50 deposits are due for each full game package, while $25 deposits are due for each mini-game plan. The season is rapidly approaching, and the AHL has released a list of five Lock Monsters home dates for the 2003-04 season. The Lock Monsters will host opponents at the Tsongas Arena on the following dates:

Saturday, November 15th
Saturday, December 13th

Front Office Changes
Following the departure of Jim Leahy, Bob Windheim and Greg Nota, the Lock Monsters would like to welcome Brian Martin and Matt LeLacheur to the front office staff. Matt joins the Lock Monsters from the Golden State Warriors of the NBA. A native of Lowell, he graduated from UMass Amherst with a B.A. in the Sport Management Program in 2001. Following graduation, Matt spent two seasons as a sales representative for the Warriors where he focused on season and group ticket sales. Matt will be responsible for season, group and individual ticket sales with the Lock Monsters. He can be contacted at matt@lockmonsters.com
On Line Auction Due to the popularity of the 5th Anniversary on-line jersey auction, the Lock Monsters will host internet auctions via the internet throughout the summer. The current item up for sale is a game worn #15 Trevor Gillies Jersey. Other items to be included in the summer auction series include game worn jerseys by #25 Bruno St. Jacques (home), #25 Anthony Battaglia (5th anniversary), #71 Tomas Malec (home), #38 Marty Johnston (home) and #34 Chris McNamara (home). Due to fan request and feedback, the Lock Monsters are in the process of redesigning Lockmonsters.com. In addition to the latest in player news, transactions, league statistics and standings, the new site will contain on line ticket and merchandise sales. The site is initial planning stages and will be re-launched by the end of the summer.
Affiliate News - NHL Draft slated for June 21-22 With the NHL draft only days away, the Carolina Hurricanes have the highest draft position since the team moved to North Carolina in 1997, as they will choose second in the first round. In addition to their first round pick, the Hurricanes also bring 10 other picks to the 2003 draft. Carolina will select first in the draft's second round (31st overall) and three times in the fourth round (102nd, 126th and 130th). The Hurricanes will follow their active fourth round with the first two selections of the fifth round (137th and 138th) and one pick in each of the draft's final four rounds (168th, 198th, 230th and 262nd).
The NHL Entry Draft begins Saturday at 1 p.m. (ET) and espn2 will air the first three hours of action. After completing rounds one through three on Saturday, the draft will break until 10 a.m. Sunday when the final six rounds commence. Hurricanes fans can follow this year's draft at
