Sippio, Johnson Waived

TAMPA BAY - The Five-Time World Champion Tampa Bay Storm have waived wide receiver/linebacker Bobby Sippio and lineman DeMarcus Johnson, General Manager and Head Coach Tim Marcum announced today.

Sippio, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound native of Kissimmee, FL, suited up in nine games for the Storm this season and caught 55 passes for 666 yards and 18 touchdowns. The third-year AFL veteran also carried the ball three times for five yards and two touchdowns. On defense, he tallied 10.5 tackles, one interception and a pass breakup.

Johnson, a 6-4, 295-pound lineman from the University of Central Florida played in six games for the Storm in the previous two seasons. This season he suited up in two-games and recorded no stats. The Tallahassee native tallied three tackles, including two stops for a loss totaling 15 yards in his career with the Storm.

The Storm return to action this Saturday night with their inaugural meeting with the Utah Blaze at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the McDonald's Box Office at the St. Pete Times Forum, by calling 813.301.6600 or at www.tampabaystorm.com.
