The Black Hawks took advantage of their powerplay opportunities in the six games last season going 3-16, good for 18%. In game one this year Waterloo was 0/1 on the powerplay, and The Musketeers were also 0/1. Sioux City would like to see that change tonight since they only went 3-22 with the man advantage last year, only good for 13%.

Sioux City is still trying to find their stride on the powerplay this year, but things are trending up. As it stands right now, the Musketeers are 7 for 37 good for 18% but have scored three total powerplay goals in their last three games.

Tonight will be the second of six matchups this year against Waterloo. The Musketeers are coming off a comeback OT thriller where they took down to Sioux Falls 4-3, snapping the Stampedes five-game winning streak. In the Black Hawks last game, they were dealt a loss by Fargo 4-3

In net, the Black Hawks return Jared Moe who played in 5 of the six games last year against the Musketeers and stopped 115/126 (91%) shots. The Black Hawks also return Mason Palmer, Hank Sorensen, and Matej Blümel who each scored a goal against the Musketeers last year. Blumel and Sorensen both scored in game one this season, so look for the Musketeers to key in on those players tonight.

Ben Kraws only saw 14 minutes of action last year against Waterloo, but only allowed 7/9 shots to get past him. Kraws made 31/34 stop in game one this year against the Black hawks good for 91%.

One of the big stories of the season so far this season is the play of their top line centered by Martin Pospisil. Pospisil leads the league in points with 19 points. Bobby Brink with 15 points is tied for 3rd in the league.

Sioux City occupies 3 of the top 5 spots for the most assists in the league with Martin Pospisil leading with 14 A; Bobby Brink is 3rd with 11 A, Luke Johnson with 9 A sits in 4th. Pospisil also earned last week's USHL Forward of the Week, with two goals five assists and 7 points. Waterloo is only in the top 5 in goals with Matej Bümel at 8 and as he is tied with Bobby Brink.

This past Monday Luke Johnson was also awarded the USHL Defenseman of the week, so several of Sioux City's top players are playing very strong as of late.
