Omaha Storm Chasers News Release
OMAHA, NE - The Omaha Royals announced today that single-game tickets for the team's 2009 season go on sale Saturday, March 14th. On the 14th, tickets may be purchased at Rosenblatt Stadium from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., or by calling the Royals ticket office at (402) 738-5100. They will also be available online at www.oroyals.com and at www.Etix.com.
Tickets will go on sale for all of the Royals 72 home games, including the 25th annual Independence Day celebration. It will be held on Friday, July 3rd, with a 6:35 p.m. game vs. New Orleans, followed by the annual fireworks spectacular, courtesy of the Omaha World-Herald, the City of Omaha and the Omaha Royals. Royal Treasures, the team's gift shop, will be open during the March 14th event.
"We're excited about the 'Fun Rules' season," said Royals Vice President/General Manager Martie Cordaro. "We hope fans come out on Saturday the 14th to meet us and check out the seats available for the 2009 season."
The Royals announced last fall that the daily ticket price for Field Box ($10) and Reserved ($8) seats will remain steady in 2009 for a sixth consecutive season. General Admission tickets are $7 apiece, but the first 50 kids 12-and-under at every home game will receive General Admission tickets for just $1, courtesy of Centris Federal Credit Union.
In addition, the team will continue to give a $1 discount on Field Box and Reserved seats to seniors 60-and-over and to kids 12-and-under. And the club is now extending that discount to General Admission tickets for seniors and children (after the first 50 kids each game).
The Royals will open their 2009 Pacific Coast League season on April 9th at Albuquerque. Opening Night at Rosenblatt Stadium is set for Friday, April 17th, with a 7:05 p.m. game vs. the Isotopes. The night will be the first of eight Fireworks Fridays this season, presented by Werner Enterprises. Also, the first 2,500 fans will receive Royals magnet schedules and the mascot Rally performs throughout the game, courtesy of Mutual 1st Federal Credit Union.
