
Silvertips Set for the 2004 WHL Bantam Draft

While the Everett Silvertips are battling the Kelowna Rockets in the Kal Tire Western Conference Finals, Silvertips General Manager Doug Soetaert, Director of Scouting Scott Scoville and the Silvertips Scouting Staff are getting ready to select the future in the 2004 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft being held in Calgary, Alberta on Thursday, April 29th at 8:00 a.m. (PST).
The Everett Silvertips will have the 13th pick in the first round of the draft. Current Silvertips forward Zach Hamill was the Silvertips 1st Round Draft Pick (3rd overall) in last years Bantam Draft had has made a major contribution in the 2004 WHL Playoffs with 3 goals and 2 assists.
The 12 Round WHL Bantam Draft is a talent identification process which serves as the first opportunity for WHL teams to add 1989 born players to their respective 50 player lists. Following the Draft, WHL clubs can add 1989 born players to their 50 player list at anytime during the player's junior eligibility.
