Everett Silvertips News Release
EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips (@WHLSilvertips), proud member of the Western Hockey League, announced "Local Heroes Night" presented by Wolfe Plumbing and Wolfe Fire Protection is Saturday, 7:05 p.m. against the Seattle Thunderbirds, and on Sunday the Silvertips will host the Kamloops Blazers at 4:05 p.m. with a 15th Anniversary Pennant giveaway presented by Dwayne Lane's Auto Center available to the first 1,500 fans in attendance. Doors for both games at Angel of the Winds Arena in downtown Everett will open one hour before game time, with the exclusive Season Ticket Holder entrance opening 75 minutes before the games.
Saturday's game, expected to draw a significantly large crowd to downtown Everett's 8,149-seat venue, will benefit local law and fire agencies via Snohomish County Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation (SCLEMF) with fundraising connected to the game. To assist in raising awareness, the Silvertips will tie in their pregame presentation with Snohomish County Search and Rescue officials repelling from the rafters of the arena with a puck for the pregame ceremonial face-off.
Selected first responder and retired Marysville Fire Department captain, Keith Taylor, will participate in the pregame ceremonial puck drop with select first responder dignitaries. Law enforcement and medical aid vehicles will be on display, on the ice.
Up to seven dollars on all game ticket purchases will be split halfway between local fire and law enforcement funds.
SCLEMF, whose purpose is to provide financial assistance to the surviving spouse and children of any officers in Snohomish County killed in the line of duty, and Medic One Foundation, designed to save and improve the quality of emergency medical services in the Everett and Snohomish County communities, will benefit from fundraising connected to Silvertips game ticket purchases.
Select Silvertips will also participate in the next Signature Saturday presented by Mountain Pacific Bank, after the game and offered to all fans in attendance along the concourse:
