Silvertips Back Home Friday Night against Kamloops

The Everett Silvertips will be back in action on Friday night against the Kamloops Blazers at the Everett Events Center. The hockey club recently finished their longest road trip of the season and continue to stay on top of the US Division with a record of 14-7-1-0 (29 points).

SILVERTIPS LEADING SCORERS

John Lammers (12 goals, 14 assists) leads the Silvertips in scoring with 26 points and leads the hockey club in goals with 12. Peter Mueller (7 goals, 15 assists) is 2nd on the team in scoring with 22 points. Mueller is tied for 1st on the Silvertips in assists with 15. Defenseman Shaun Heshka (4 goals, 15 assists) is 3rd on the Silvertips in scoring and leads all Everett defensemen in points with 19. The Silvertips plus/minus leader is Zach Hamill (5 goals, 12 assists) who leads the team with a +7 rating. In goal, Leland Irving has posted 13 victories and has recorded a 2.01 Goals Against Average with a 92.2% Save Percentage.

SILVERTIPS AMONG LEAGUE LEADERS

Silvertips goaltender Leland Irving is currently 3rd in the WHL in Wins (13), tied for 4th in Goals Against Average (2.01), 6th in Save Percentage (92.2%) and tied for 4th in Shutouts (1). John Lammers is currently ranked tied for 9th in the WHL in scoring with 26 points. Lammers is also tied for 9th in goals (12), tied for 5th in power play goals (6) and tied for 2nd in short handed goals (2). Peter Mueller is currently 2nd in the WHL in Rookie scoring with 22 points while defenseman Shaun Heshka is ranked 2nd in defense scoring with 19 points.

EVERETT SILVERTIPS SPECIAL TEAMS

The Silvertips are 1st in the WHL on the power play (26 for 125, 20.8%) and 5th in the WHL on the penalty kill (94 for 107, 87.9%).

THIS TIME LAST SEASON........

The Everett Silvertips after 22 games last season posted an 11-7-2-2 (26 points) record compared to this seasons record of 14-7-1-0 (29 points). This season, the Silvertips have scored a total of 65 goals compared to 56 goals scored last season after 22 games. The Silvertips have given up 48 goals this season compared to 45 goals allowed last season after 22 games.

VERSUS THE KAMLOOPS BLAZERS

The Everett Silvertips are 1-1 against the Blazers this season. Both games were played at the Interior Savings Centre in Kamloops, BC with the Silvertips winning the last meeting 2-1 over the Blazers on October 16. Friday night will be the third of four meetings between the two Western Conference rivals.

VERSUS THE SPOKANE CHIEFS

The Silvertips are 2-1 against the Chiefs this season heading into Saturday nights game in Spokane. The Silvertips are 1-1 at home against Spokane and 1-0 against the Chiefs at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena. In their last meeting on November 2, the Silvertips defeated the Chiefs 5-2 in Spokane.

The Silvertips invite all fans to attend every Monday night from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for the Everett Silvertips Hockey Show at the Everett Mall.
