KAMLOOPS, BC - Kamloops Blazer captain Reid Jorgensen will miss the next 6 to 8 weeks of action after suffering a broken jaw in Saturday's game against Vancouver. The injury, suffered when Jorgensen was hit by a Giant player, has required surgery.
Blazer alternate captain Matt Kassian was suspended two games for a collision with Giant goaltender Dustin Slade on Saturday night. Kassian will miss the club's next two games in Tri-Cities Thursday and in Everett Friday, but is eligible to return to the lineup on Sunday night at home against the Kelowna Rockets.
