Silverbacks score big as Gus Macker
June 27, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Buffalo Silverbacks News Release
Buffalo, NY. The ABA Buffalo Silverbacks had a great showing at the Gus Macker 3-on-3 basketball tournament this weekend giving away 1,000 t-shirts and handing out nearly 10,000 flyers along with Creditors Interchange Special Edition Modie Cox trading cards.
"Between the Do Your Best, Never Quit initiative, contacting last year's season ticket holders and interest generated at the Macker, we've received strong indications that we will have the support we need from the WNY community to be one of the premiere teams in the ABA," stated Rich Jacob, Ph.D., head coach and GM of the Silverbacks.
The team would like to send out a special thank you to Stacey Roeder and Susan Gonzales with Kids Escaping Drugs for helping to make the Silverbacks presence a success at this tournament. Player and assistant coach Modie Cox said, "Stacey and Sue helped us put together a great plan and we'd really like them to know how much we appreciate their hard work."
