
Cedar Rapids announces tryouts

Cedar Rapids Running Guns News Release
Grand Rapids, IA. The new Cedar Rapids entry into the American Basketball Association (ABA) will hold its first tryout camp for the team beginning play in November. The tryout camp will be held at the North Liberty Rec Center, 520 W. Cherry in North Liberty, Iowa on July 8th and July 9th. They will be at 9am-1pm both days; pre-registration is $125; at the door $150. For more information on the camp, contact Scott Eastin at 319 361 8152.
"We are very excited to be a part of the ABA," said Eastin. "This is a great league with tremendous tradition and we will be in a very competitive division. We have some great small town ballplayers in Iowa and have no doubt that we will be a strong and competitive team."
Candidates must be 18 years of age and out of high school. Participation in the open tryouts may jeopardize a players' NCAA eligibility. If you have any question about NCAA eligibility, please consult your coach. Players should wear appropriate shoes and clothing and come ready to compete.
