Syracuse Silver Knights Control the Ball vs. the Baltimore Blast

SYRACUSE, New York - The Silver Knights battled through several injuries in the lineup but battled strong against the top of the Eastern Conference. The Baltimore Blast took down the Silver Knights handing the Silver Knights their first loss at home this season with a 5-2 win.
The first half belonged mostly to the visiting Baltimore Blast taking a 1-0 lead midway through the first quarter. The Silver Knights in the form of JJ Gibson were able to respond late in the second quarter to tie things up. But the tie was short lived as the Blast were able to score once again to take a 2-1 lead going into the half.
Tommy Tanner's words of wisdom at the half sparked the Silver Knights who came out with a new fire and a sense of urgency. The second half saw the Silver Knights back in control and looking to take back their home field in front of their fans on Star Wars night.
JJ Gibson was able to connect again in the second half scoring his second goal on the night and doubling his total on the season. JJ's goal once again tied the game and things started to look up for the Silver Knights. But again it was short lived as the Blast were able to score 3 consecutive goal before the clock hit all 0's.
The loss was the second loss in a row and put the Silver Knights back to under .500 for the first time all season. The Silver Knights will return home January 8th, 2016 against the Harrisburg Heat.
