INDEPENDENCE, MO - The Missouri Comets (8-1) bounced back from their first regular season defeat in 22 months last week with a dominating 12-5 victory over Pacific Division's Tacoma Stars (5-3) in front of 2,973 fans at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena.

With two goals, two assists and a total of four points, defender Robert Palmer was named Borden Man of the Match for the second time this season. In addition, goalkeeper Boris Pardo earned his league-leading eighth win of the campaign.

Coach Vlatko Andonovski's team stepped on the field with only one thing in mind, scoring early. However, Tacoma did not make it easy. At the end of the first, the visitors led Missouri 2-1 with goals from Lucas Rodriguez for the Comets and Jamael Cox and Derek Johnson for the Stars.

During the second quarter, the Comets found the back of the net three times with goals scored by Milan Ivanovic, Bryan Perez and Ramone Palmer, who still leads the team in goals with 14. Tacoma was unable to respond and the half ended 4-2.

After the fifteen-minute break, Perez completed his brace at the 5:32 mark followed by Tacoma's Tyrone Hall first of the match before Lucas Rodriguez and John Sosa each got on board to end the third with a 7-3 score.

The final quarter saw a total of seven goals between both teams. Team captain and league leader Vahid Assadpour and Robert Palmer extended the lead early but Hall got one back for the Stars just ten seconds later making 9-4. Gibson (2) and Robert Palmer again gave the Comets a confortable lead before Raphael Cox scored the last tally of the contest to end the match with a final score of 12-5.

Next up, the Comets head to Flint, Michigan as they visit the Waza Flo at the Dort Federal Center a week from tonight.
