SYRACUSE, New York - Tommy Tanner has re-signed last season's MVP Kenardo Forbes and former MISL Rookie of the year Slavisa Ubiparapovic to 1 year contracts. Both Forbes and Ubiparapovic will be returning for their fifth season with the Knights. Tanner is excited at the offensive power the two all-stars bring back to the Silver Knights.

Kenardo Forbes - "I consider Kenardo to be one of the top midfielders in the MASL, his creativity and ability  to score points along with being able to defend makes him one of the best two way players in our game" said Coach Tanner.

Last season with the Silver Knights, Forbes was second on the team in points with 36 on 22 goals and 14 assists. He was rewarded for this efforts by being voted Team MVP by his teammates and coaches. Forbes continued that success outdoors this summer in the USL. Joining forces with the Rochester Rhinos, Forbes lead a high powered Rhinos team to the top of the standings. With the Rhinos, Forbes was once again recognized for his offensive skill set and was named Offensive MVP for the team that went on to go win the USL Championships.

Slavisa Ubiparapovic- Slavisa "Slav" Ubiparapovic returns to the Silver Knights for his 5th year this season. Tommy Tanner is excited to see the playmaker back and says he is one of the most exciting players in the MASL and can break down players one on one.

"Slavisa is one of the best players on the ball in our league. His ability to find open teammates makes us a threat to score goals every time he touches the ball. I was disappointed when Slav left for Ontario, California but we always kept the door open if he wanted to return and I am glad he is back with us in Syracuse. "

Last season the playmaker had a balanced attack of 14 goals and 15 assist, putting him in 3rd for points on the season for the Silver Knights. Slav spent much of the summer training for this season and will look to improve upon those numbers this year. During the summer, Slav saw action on the field for a Binghamton FC side that also had Silver Knights Domenico Vitale, and team captain Bo Jelovac.

The Silver Knights began practice Monday, November 2nd, and will continue with player announcements all week long. With the season starting in just 2 weeks, Tommy Tanner is excited for the season to begin and his players to hit the field.

The Silver Knights will open up home play at the OnCenter War Memorial Arena on November 20th at 7:30pm. For more information on how you can watch them play live, call 315-303-7261 for ticket information.
