Syracuse Silver Knights Goaltender Andrew Coughlin Makes a Save vs. the Harrisburg Heat

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Jer Jer Gibson's hat-trick led the Syracuse Silver Knights (9-7, Eastern Division #2) past the Harrisburg Heat (0-15, Eastern Division #4) 10-3 at the War Memorial. The win extends SSK's great bit of form. Tommy Tanner's side has won four of their last five.
Gibson opened the scoring in the first quarter. The Monrovia, Liberia native tapped in a Kenardo Forbes pass on the far post in the 10th minute of the opening period.
The Silver Knights blitzed past the Heat in the second quarter and never looked back, outscoring the visitors 5-2 in the frame. Despite an equalizer three minutes into the period, Syracuse went on a 4-1 run for the final 11 minutes. JJ Gibson provided the final finish of the streak, scoring off a wall-pass from Doug Miller with 2 seconds before the break.
But it all started with Gary Boughton. He tallied twice to start the run.
Slavisa Ubiparipovic made his first appearance since being sidelined with a left knee injury back on December 11. The Bosnian scored in his 2016 debut on a free kick from distance. He arrowed it past the goalkeeper from more than 25 yards out angled up against the boards on the left channel. The strike was Ubiparipovic's 6th of the season.
Fittingly JJ Gibson finished the scoring on the night. Antonio Manfut found him on another far post run to make it 10-3 'Cuse with 2:17 left in the third quarter.
Andrew Coughlin earned the victory in net. The rookie goalkeeper made 10 saves in the effort. Coughlin is now 4-1 as a starter.
