South Bend Silver Hawks News Release
Silver Hawks Start Strong
Currently, our South Bend Silver Hawks, are tied for first place in the Eastern Division with the West Michigan Whitecaps, five games into the second half of 2006 Midwest League season. At the All-Star game in Davenport, Iowa, Justin Upton started in centerfield and led off the game with a double. Vince Bongiovanni, was named outstanding pitcher, working a perfect inning and two strikeouts for the game as well. The Hawks will return Wednesday from a three game run at West Michigan and are set to take on the Swing of the Quad Cities at home, June 29-July 2 and the Beloit Snappers, July 3-6. All games, including Sunday, July 2 will begin at 7 p.m.

What's better than the Silver Hawks turning a double play? Triple Play Thursdays of course! Thursdays this season at the Cove mean big savings for fans. Principal Family Fun Fest
Thursday, June 29, the Principal Financial Group will be hosting the Principal Family Fun Fest; just outside Coveleski Stadium from 4 to 7 p.m. Coveleski Stadium is just one stop on a 50-plus tour by Principal Financial's Family Fun Fest. The festival, including midway games, inflatable movie screen, minor league baseball museum and video game trailer will travel over 30,000 miles during the 2006 baseball season to bring family fun to minor league baseball fans. Come out and join the fun, for FREE!
Friday Night Lights
Allegiant Air is proud to present post-game Friday Night Fireworks at the Cove. Fans are encouraged to remain in their seats following every Friday night home game to enjoy the spectacular lights show. WNDU and Centennial Wireless will also be sponsoring this year's Fourth of July Fireworks celebration, July 1-4. Fans will be welcome to relax on the field to enjoy the show. That makes for 5 nights in a row of fireworks at the Cove!

Clash with Crippler
Come see IAW professional wrestlers, "Clash at the Cove" on Saturday, July 8. The Main event features, Brian "The Crippler" Costello vs. "Pretty" Paul Roma. Other matches include: Andy Chene vs. Tito Santana; Damage Inc. tag team vs. Sgt. Jay Peterson and Justin Dean; Mr. Smiley vs. Dr. Love and Brian Anthony vs. Chris Battle. Gates will open at 8 p.m. with events beginning at 8:30 p.m. Ringside tickets are $20 and regular seat tickets are $10.
