Tucson Sidewinders News Release
The Sidewinders banged out 13 hits Saturday, but came up short in the 9-5 loss. Chad Tracy led the way with 2 hits, a run and an RBI for Tucson. Doug DeVore also continued his hot hitting with a 2 for 4 night. Tim Olson, Brad Cresse, and Steve Neal also had multi-hit games for the Sidewinders.
The barage of hits came against Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Denny Neagle who is pitching for the Sky Sox on a major league rehabilitation assignment. Neagle earned the win with a 6-inning outing while Tucson starter Edgar Gonzalez took the loss to become 1-2 on the season.
Tucson will look to even the series Sunday at 6:30 when they send John Patterson (5-1, 2.45) to the mound to take on Colorado Springs righty Scott Elarton (0-3, 2.45).
