Round Rock Express News Release
The 2003 season hasn't been a smooth one for the Round Rock Express pitching staff. However, for one afternoon, Greg Miller made up for everything. Miller was nothing short of remarkable in throwing only the third Texas League complete game of the season to lead the Express to an 8-1 win over the Midland RockHounds.
Miller's nine-inning outing included only three hits and one run - scored in the ninth. He also walked only two, while striking out five and improved his record to 3-1. It was his first complete game since the 2000 season.
Offensively, Round Rock got two RBI games from Chris Burke, Jon Topolski and Ramon German and home runs by German and Tommy Whiteman.
Sonny Garcia (3-4) got the loss. He allowed six runs on nine hits in five innings.
The two teams will continue a five-game series Monday at 7 p.m.
