May 12, 2004 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Tucson Sidewinders News Release

The Sidewinders pounded out a season high 18 hits for the second consecutive game, but barely held on to an 11-10 victory over the Oklahoma RedHawks. Tucson looked to have the game in hand with a commanding 9-2 lead heading into the 7th inning, but the RedHawks forced the issue by rallying back to tie the game up. With the game knotted up 10-10 in the bottom on the 8th, 2B Steve Garrabrants delivered a go ahead RBI triple 8th to give the Sidewinders a 1-run lead.

LF Julio Ramirez led the Tucson offense with 4 hits, including a 2-run shot to left in the 4th. Ramirez drove in 3, scored 2, and swiped his 7th bag of the season. Luis Terrero went 3 for 5 to improve his season average to a team-leading .371. Seven Sidewinders had multi-hit nights and every player in the lineup reached base at least once.

Sidewinders RHP Josh Perrault scattered 7 hits over 5 solid inning in his 2004 debut. Perrault allowed 2 runs, only 1 earned, in his first taste of Triple-A. RHP Scott Service picked up his 4th win of the season by pitching two perfect innings to close out the victory.

With the win, the Sidewinders improve to 19-13 on the season and extended their lead in the South Division to 2.5 games over the division rival Sacramento RiverCats. The Redhawks and Sidewinders will square off once again Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. when Oklahoma RHP John Wasdin (2-0, 2.93) will face a Sidewinders pitcher yet to be announced.
