Dallas Sidekicks News Release
Allen, Texas - The Dallas Sidekicks have announced the signing of goalkeeper, Parker Lackland. This year will mark Lackland's first season with the Sidekicks and in the MASL. Per team and league guidelines, additional terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Lackland grew up in the Dallas area and went to school in Richardson. He played club soccer for Texas Football Club and Solar SC. Lackland also played high school soccer at Richardson High School where he was named first-team all-district and all-city in 2016 and 2017.
In 2018, Lackland committed to play collegiate soccer at the University of Memphis. As a freshman, Lackland appeared in 11 games and started in 9 of them. Overall, he played in 44 games and saved 158 shots with an overall save percentage of 0.672. After college, Lackland went on to play with the Texas Spurs in the UPSL.
When asked about why it's special for him to sign with the Sidekicks, Lackland said, "It's my hometown team in a league that my dad played in years ago. I'm excited to be able to continue playing in such a competitive environment."
"I'm working hard to adjust to a new style of play. I'm used to outdoor soccer, so it's a change of pace, but I love it. I want to be one of the best goalkeepers in the league and I want to do something special and go the whole way to win a championship," commented Lackland.
