
Sidekicks Sign Forward Scott Doney

(ALLEN, TEXAS) The Dallas Sidekicks have announced the signing of free agent forward Scott Doney to an agreement for the 2020-21 Major Arena Soccer League season. As per team and league policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Scott is a tall (6'5") target forward bringing a physical presence to the Sidekicks. A "Fox in the Box" type scorer who is ready for his rookie season playing Arena soccer. "I'm excited to get started and make an impact to the team this upcoming season", Scott said upon his signing.
Born in New Zeeland, Scott moved to the United States in 2014. Growing up on the North Island, Scott played outdoor soccer and his performances gave him the opportunity to train with the New Zealand Under-20 national team in preparation for the Under-20 World Cup. Scott moved to the States to play college soccer at the University of Buffalo before transferring to Midwestern State in Texas his senior year where he was an All-American player. After college, Scott moved to Michigan where he played for Grand Rapids FC in the USL League Two while also working on his masters degree from Aquinas College. He moved back to Texas in May and will now begin his journey in playing professional indoor soccer.
