(ALLEN, TEXAS) The Dallas Sidekicks' Luiz Felipe Xavier De Andrade, or "Lipe" as he is more commonly known, has been named to the Major Arena Soccer League's Western Conference All-Star Team.
Lipe is coming off an impressive rookie season is honored to be named to the first MASL All-Star game which will be held on December 5th in Kansas City at the Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence Missouri at 7:00 pm CT. Lipe will be coached by Tacoma Stars player-head coach Nick Perera. This is the first professional indoor All-Star game of any kind since 2001-02.
As a rookie for the Sidekicks last season, Lipe score 16 goals in 19 appearances to go along with 8 assists which lead the team. His ability to dribble at speed with tremendous skill moves terrorized opponents throughout the season. He honed his ball skills in São Paulo playing Futsal and it quickly became evident in the Sidekicks international tryouts in Brazil that his game would translate well to the indoor game.
Lipe was also honored as being the only midfielder named to the MASL All-Rookie squad. Deadly with either foot, Lipe scored in his professional indoor soccer debut against the Mesquite Outlaws on November 30th last year. Still learning the game, he only scored in one game out of the next seven he played with a brace against Monterrey Flash in his home debut in the Allen Event Center as Sidekicks fans saw him live in person for the first time and realized the rookie was a special player. As he adjusted to the indoor game he finished the season strong scoring in 8 of the teams final 10 games including scoring twice in a game three times during that span and his first hat trick on Valentines Day in Allen against Utica City.

My family is also always cheering for me, and my Dallas Sidekick's teammates, without them this wouldn't have happened. I would also like to thank our fans, I feel fulfilled in my first season, it's all happening just God, I'm very happy. It's a child's dream coming true, let's work hard for the next season, we classify ourselves for the playoffs if God wants ... Thank you all from the heart."
