
Sidekicks Finish Double Header in Chihuahua Mexico

Chihuahua, Mexico - The Dallas Sidekicks finished their second game in Mexico with a 3-8 loss to the Chihuahua Savage. Dallas moves to (9-10-1) overall and the Chihuahua Savage move to (10-6-2).
The first quarter of the game was a balanced match with both teams having numerous opportunities on goal. First quarter ended 2-2.
Less than a minute into the second quarter, Chihuahua capitalized on a turnover by the Sidekicks. A shot that came from outside the arch hit the back of the net putting Chihuahua up 2-3. Chihuahua found the back of the net again at the 11:50 minute mark to take the game to 2-4.
The remainder of the second quarter was a hard-fought battle from both sides. Dallas had several open opportunities that they failed to close on. At the conclusion of the first half, Chihuahua led Dallas 2-6.
As the second half progressed, tension grew from both sides. Battling for the ball deep in the defensive thirds of each team's half, both teams conceded a handful of fouls. The Sidekicks lost defender Cody Ellis to a red card in the middle of the fourth quarter.
The Sidekicks gained momentum into the second half of the fourth quarter by maintaining possession in Chihuahua's defensive half to create more opportunities on goal.
However, the lead was too steep for the Sidekicks to overcome. The Chihuahua Savage defeated the Dallas Sidekicks 3-8 in regulation.
The Dallas Sidekicks are on the road next weekend to play the Kansas City Comets at Cable Dahmer Arena on March 20th.
