
Sidekicks Fall to San Diego for Second Game of Doubleheader

San Diego, California - The Dallas Sidekicks took on the San Diego Sockers Sunday Night for the second game of the weekend.
San Diego player, Gerardo Jurado opened the game by scoring a goal at the 5-minute mark in the first quarter. Dallas kept together defensively during the first quarter because they only allowed one goal out of the six shots on goal. At the end of the first quarter, the score was 0-1.
39 seconds into the second quarter, Sidekicks player, Jamie Lovegrove shot a wonderful strike from across the field to tie the match. Three minutes later, San Diego player, Felipe Gonzalez, scored. In the 14th minute of the second quarter, Sidekicks player, Gustavo Piedra scored a power-play goal with an assist by the VcMor Eligwe. Going into halftime, the score was 2-2.
The second half of the game was dominated by San Diego with two goals being scored in the third quarter and four in the fourth quarter.
In the third quarter, Kraig Chiles scored at the three-minute mark, and Gerardo Jurado at the eight-minute mark, his second goal of the game. At the end of the third quarter, the score was 2-4.
In the fourth quarter, Juan Gonzalez; Christian Gutierrez, who had two goals back-to-back; and Charlie Gonzalez all saw the scoring sheet for San Diego. The final score of the game was 2-8.
The Sidekicks are back on the road on Friday, January 13 as they take on the Chihuahua Savage in Chihuahua at 8 PM CST. The game will be streamed live on Twitch (twitch.tv/masl_soccer2).
