Huntsville Havoc News Release

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Huntsville Havoc head coach Randy Murphy announced today that the team has re-signed goaltender Mark Sibbald.

Sibbald was named the SBK Goaltender of the Year and First Team All-SPHL last season after posting a 14-12 record, a 2.51 goals against average and a 91.5 save percentage. He finished sixth in the SPHL in wins, second in goals against and fourth in save percentage.

"Having Mark back gives us the start we wanted in terms of building for the 2011-12 season," said Murphy. "He has turned in two great seasons here in Huntsville statistically and was rewarded last season individually with the Goaltender of the year award as voted on coaches and management throughout the SPHL. He also has made it clear that we have unfinished goals to attain and he is step number one in attaining another Championship"

The Ridgeway, Ontario native will enter his third season with the Havoc. He has played in 65 career games in the SPHL and the CHL and has posted a 34-20-4 career record. His career goals against average is 2.74 and his save percentage is 90.8.

"I couldn't be happier to be returning to Huntsville next season," Sibbald said. "Playing for Coach Murphy and the Jeffries family has been a great experience, and I look forward to having a successful regular season and a long playoff run."

Havoc full season ticket packages start as low as $196.00! Call (256) 518-6160 or visit them at the front office inside the Von Braun Center for more information.
