Shuckers Raise over $5,000 with Jersey Auction

Biloxi Shuckers present a check to Singing River Health System Foundation

BILOXI, MS - Prior to their game against the Mobile BayBears, the Biloxi Shuckers presented a check for $5,033 to Singing River Health System Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. The funds came from a joint fundraising effort between the Biloxi Shuckers and Singing River on May 19.
"As a partner of the Biloxi Shuckers and a vital part of the Gulf Coast community, we were thrilled to help out our friends at Singing River Health System Foundation," said Biloxi Shuckers General Manager Hunter Reed. "We feel we met our goal and that these funds can contribute to the overall health and betterment of the entire Mississippi Gulf Coast."
During their game on May 19, the Shuckers wore special hockey-themed jerseys as part of their 'Sea Wolves Appreciation Night.' The game-worn jerseys were auctioned off, with the proceeds going to Singing River Health System Foundation. Fans were able to meet Shuckers players on the field and receive their jersey after the game concluded in walk-off fashion.
The Shuckers remain committed to community involvement and proactively seeking ways to improve the quality of life along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. This season, the Shuckers have raised funds through jersey auctions, special events and sponsorship that have benefited organizations throughout the greater Biloxi area.
