MONTGOMERY, Ala. - For only the third time this season the Biscuits (48-31) have lost a series, as Montgomery fell to the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (35-44), 6-3, on Friday night at Riverwalk Stadium.

Jhonleider Salinas (0-1) made his Riverwalk debut, but struggled as the Biscuits' opener. After working a scoreless first, Salinas allowed four-consecutive singles to open up the second, with the final one off Santiago Chavez's bat, which handed Jacksonville a 1-0 lead. An Anfernee Seymour RBI-groundout and a Brian Miller sac fly made it 3-0 Jumbo Shrimp midway through the second.

The Biscuits would answer back in the bottom of the second thanks to another home run by Kevin Padlo, this one a solo shot off starter Edward Cabrera (1-0), that pulled one back for the Butter and Blue.

The Jumbo Shrimp would tack on another run to make it a 4-1 ball game in the third on a sac fly by Billy Fleming. Joe Dunand would add another sac fly for Jacksonville in the top of the fifth that made it 5-1.

The Biscuits would mount a small comeback in the bottom of the sixth when Padlo connected for his second home run of the game on a laser beam over the left-center field wall. The two-run shot made it 5-3, and gave Padlo his third multi-home run game of the season. The Biscuits third baseman, who was serving as the designated hitter on Friday night, now has 12 longballs this season with nine of them coming this month.

Gabriel Guerrero hit an RBI-single in the top of the seventh to make it 6-3, and that was it for the scoring, as the Biscuits were unable to come back against Cabrera (6 IP), Kolton Mahoney (2 IP), and Dylan Lee (1 IP).

Montgomery will try to bounce back in Saturday's series finale when the Biscuits will send Sam McWilliams (5-3) to the mound against Cody Poteet (5-3) at 6:35 PM CT on Superhero Night with MAX Fireworks.
