MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Memphis Showboats head coach John DeFilippo has announced the hiring of Antoine Smith as the team's defensive line coach.
The following is a look at a few of Smith's career highlights/credentials:
Antoine Smith, Defensive Line Coach
21 years of collegiate coaching experience
Most recently, served as assistant head coach and defensive line coach at Temple University
Also served as assistant head coach at Colorado State in 2021
Has produced double-digit all-conference players throughout his collegiate coaching career
Smith's hire becoming official rounds out the coaching staff for the Showboats with training camp under way in Arlington, Texas and the season-opener less than a month away on March 31 at the Houston Roughnecks.
Smith joins the rest of the staff, who were formally announced recently. DeFillipo's staff also includes:
Carnell Lake, Defensive Coordinator/Defensive Backs
Doug Martin, Offensive Coordinator/Wide Receivers
Kirk Doll, Special Teams Coordinator/Running Backs
Paul Pasqualoni, Linebackers
Steven Thompson, Assistant Linebackers
Jim Turner, Run Game Coordinator/Offensive Line
