Showboats Announce 2024 Team Captains

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Memphis Showboats head coach John DeFilippo has released the Showboats' captains for the 2024 season. Team captains were determined by a vote of the team.
The Showboats' offensive captains will be quarterback Case Cookus and running back Darius Victor. Captains of the defensive side of the ball will be defensive lineman John Atkins Sr. and defensive back Jarey Elder. The special teams representative as a captain will be punter Matt White.
Memphis begins the 2024 UFL season Sunday afternoon in Houston for a matchup with the Roughnecks. Kickoff is slated for 2 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN. The local radio broadcast will be heard on News Talk 98.9 in the Memphis area.
The Showboats' home opener is slated for April 6 at 11 a.m. CT, when the San Antonio Brahmas visit Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium. Season tickets and single-game tickets are available at TheUFL.com/tickets.
