Mike Flacco's two-run double in the bottom of the ninth inning gave the Delmarva Shorebirds a 2-1 walk-off win over the Lexington Legends Sunday in Salisbury, Maryland.

The Legends took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning. Brian Kemp led off with a walk. Grant Hogue hit a ground ball to shortstop Garabez Rosa, who threw to second to force Kemp, but second baseman Gary Helmick's low throw to first bounced past first base, and the error allowed Hogue to reach second. Jiovanni Mier followed with a line single to left, scoring Hogue.

The lead stood up until the ninth inning. Lexington starter Luis Cruz shut out the Shorebirds on two hits through the first seven innings, and Wander Alvino pitched a scoreless eighth.

Kirk Clark, the Legends single-season and career record holder in saves with 24, relieved to start the ninth. Helmick drew a walk to lead off the inning and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Ty Kelly singled to right field, moving Helmick to third. Kieron Pope was hit by a pitch to load the bases, and after Steve Bumbry ran for Pope, Flacco followed with a drive into the gap in deep right center field, scoring Helmick with the tying run and Kelly with the winner.

David Walters (1-1), who pitched the eighth and ninth innings for Delmarva, got the win. Clark (3-2), who was charged with his sixth blown save, took the loss.

The Legends and Shorebirds play Monday night at 7:05 p.m. Delmarva has won two of the first three games of the series.
