In cooperation with Froggy 99.9 FM, the Shorebirds will host the annual Easter Egg Scramble. Registration for the scramble will begin at 9 a.m. at Perdue Stadium. Children must bring their own baskets for the Easter Egg Scramble. In order to accommodate all the children, the event will be split up into three age groups.

. 4 & Under - 10 a.m.

. 5-8 years old - 10:40 a.m.

. 9-12 years old - 11:20 a.m.

Sherman the Shorebird and the Easter Bunny will be at Fan Fest to take part in the Easter Egg Scramble.

Kiss 95.9 National Anthem tryouts will begin at 10 a.m. on a first come first serve basis. Candidates will perform the entire national anthem over the public address system on the field for a panel of judges. The top performers will be asked to perform at Shorebirds home games during the 2011 season. People that have performed the national anthem at Shorebirds games in the past, must audition again at this year's Fan Fest.

Fan Fest will also include the Q105 Camp Fair on the second level concourse. Local summer camps will be on hand to pass out flyers and registration information for the summer season. The current list of camps that will be in attendance includes: Mitchell's Martial Arts, Footsteps Dance Academy, Wicomico County Recreation and Parks, Mid-Shore YMCA Camp Discoveries, Clear Space Theatre Company, Wor Wic Community College, Salisbury Christian, Camp Pecometh and Salisbury Baptist.

The Shorebirds are encouraging people to donate canned food items to the "Strike Out Hunger" campaign at Fan Fest. The Shorebirds will give out one raffle ticket per canned food item donated. The raffle tickets will give fans an opportunity to win great prizes throughout the day. The collected canned food items will be distributed to the three food banks along the Eastern Shore.

In addition, the Shorebirds Fan Club will have carnival style games set up on the concourse for kids of all ages.

The Shorebirds Flock Shop, the official merchandise store of the team, will be open on the second level concourse. The newest Shorebirds gear will be available for purchase to get ready for the 2011 season.

"Fan Fest is a perfect way to gear up for the 2011 season, which is truly right around the corner," said general manager Chris Bitters. "It's a family friendly event because there is something for everyone at the stadium."

The Shorebirds begin the 2011 season with a special exhibition game against Salisbury University on April 5 at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. The Shorebirds open the South Atlantic League portion of the season on April 7 against the Greensboro Grasshoppers.
