Shock Roster Moves Continue - Vijil Added

Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that WR Raul Vijil and WR Adron Tennell have been added to the 2011 roster. In another roster move, the Shock released WR Lonnell DeWalt and QB Andy Collins.

Vijil, 5-10 190, has played for Spokane since the inception of the franchise in 2006. Along the way, Vijil has set team records in all-time receiving yards (4,952), receptions (421), all-purpose yards (8,263), and touchdowns (131). Last season, his first in the AFL, Vijil was off to a career-best start with 82 receptions for 1083 yards and 33 touchdowns in only 10 games.

"Raul has become such an important part of this organization we are so happy to have him back," Head Coach Rob Keefe explained. "He had a tremendous season and continued that in the off-season with his rehab. "

Tennell, 6-4 199, capped of his collegiate career at Oklahoma University in 2009. As a Sooner, Tennell recorded 40 receptions for 505 yards with five touchdowns. Last season, Tennell signed with a free-agent contract with the New Orleans Saints and was released in training camp.

"At 6-4, Tennell has the height we look for in our receivers," Keefe said. "He runs great routes and he has great hands. I'm excited to see how his game translates to the Arena game. "
