
Shock Assigned Pair of Defensive Backs

SPOKANE, Washington (June 10, 2015) - The Shock were assigned defensive backs Ricardo Kemp and Mike McMillan to the 2015 roster today.
Ricardo Kemp (5-11, 190, Tennessee) joins the Shock for his second AFL season after spending time in 2013 with the Pittsburgh Power where he collected six tackles in five appearances at defensive back. In 2014, Kemp spent time with the CIFL Champion Erie Explosion where he earned First Team All-CIFL honors. Prior to transferring to Hampton University (VA), Kemp began his collegiate career at the University of Tennessee where he played in 18 games during the 2007 and 2008 seasons at running back. Kemp is originally from Warren, Arkansas.
Mike McMillan (5-11, 205, Ashland) joins the Shock for his rookie season as a member of the AFL. In five games with the IFL's Bemidji Axeman during the 2015 season, McMillan recorded 24 total tackles (17 solo), one fumble recovery, and one interception. McMillan completed his collegiate career at Ashland University (OH) where he played both cornerback and safety and earned honorable mention All-GLIAC honors. Prior to attending Ashland, McMillan played at Mendocino College (CA) where he earned All-Empire Conference recognition. McMillan is originally from North Hagerstown, MD.
