Philadelphia Soul News Release
PHILADELPHIA (June 10, 2015) - Current NFL player, Marques Colston joined the Soul Ownership in October of 2014. Colston, who is showing an interest in the business side of sports, is looking to the future and how he can bring his core values to the Soul.
Colston got his first start in arena football back in 2012 when he became the majority owner of the Harrisburg Stampede. Colston is originally from Harrisburg and was on a mission to re-energize and service the city of Harrisburg. Unfortunately, the team ended its run in 2014 due to financial problems.
Afterwards Colston became a part of the Soul ownership group in October of 2014. Since joining the Soul, Colston has made several appearances at Soul games and the Soul Connect events. As a Pennsylvania native, Colston is happy to be a part of a team with such a great fan base in Philadelphia.
Colston is always looking to the future and since joining the Soul ownership group has learned a lot from current owners: Ron Jaworski, Craig Spencer, Cosmo DeNicola, Martin Judge, and Pete Ciarrocchi. He hopes to eventually be involved in personnel decisions, but for now is content with sitting back and watching how it is handled.
